The fifth Online Competition in the 2026 Championship Series has been announced. The sign-up period for the 2026 Grand Challenge V runs from 12 February 2026 at 00:00 UTC to 19 February 2026 at 23:59 UTC, and the event itself runs throughout the weekend before Pokémon Day 2026 — 20 February 2026 at 00:00 UTC to 22 February 2026 at 23:59 UTC. The results and winning teams from this event will be found here on Bulbagarden once the event has concluded.
The winter 2026 edition of European Speedrunner Assembly will be taking place this week from February 6th to February 14th. It will be held live out of Malmö, Sweden. Pokémon Masters EX is throwing down the gauntlet to trainers once more, with the Legendary Gauntlet returning until February 18th at 9:59pm (PST). Players finding themselves without the proper sync pairs to take on the Gauntlet will be able to take advantage of a new Scout launching alongside this event, featuring a variety of Sync Pairs suited to these particular challenges.

The Pokémon Company’s newest merch collection is based on Pokémon that are so cute they lower their opponents’ guards, including Jigglypuff, Mimikyu, and Espurr. The new drop, called “Don’t Attack Me,” has an emphasis on reversible items, and includes apparel, home goods, and lots of accessories. Don’t Attack Me will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on February 7th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on February 5th.
The latest Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE is Sirfetch’d, a Melee All-Rounder with Expert difficulty that deals Physical damage. As is usual for a new Pokémon release, a new set of Holowear has also been made available, with Gardening Style: Sirfetch'd now available in Zirco Trading, featuring Audio/Visual FX for Movement. Until February 24th, players can clear event missions to collect exclusive coins and exchange them for Sirfetch'd's Unite License.

The speedrunning community are coming together this weekend from January 30th to February 1st for ICE Breaker, a marathon raising money for Minnesotans being affected by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
