Jacq and Volo, together with their partner Pokémon Farigiraf and Togepi
As previewed earlier this week, Volo & Togepi are making their Pokémon Masters EX debut today in a new Poké Fair Scout. Alongside this scout, Volo will be taking center stage in the brand new Researcher and Seeker Story Event that is also launching in-game today.

Story Event: Researcher and Seeker
In this new story event, players encounter the travelling merchant Volo while exploring the ruins around Pasio for mysterious stones together with Jacq and Trevor. This event is available in-game now, and will continue until April 14th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Story Event: Researcher and Seeker - Event Medals
By completing battles during this event, players can earn Event Voucher W items, which can be exchanged for a variety of valuable items, including a 5★ Power-Ups, a Tech Move Candy Coin, Special Skill Feathers 25 and 26, Luckyt Cookies for Volo, Jacq, and N, Skill Items, and custom Sync Orbs for Volo & Togepi and Jacq & Farigiraf. Players can also take on event missions to earn Event Medals, as well as additional Gems, Battle Points, and other rewards.

As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:
These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Volo & Togepi, N & Zekrom, and Colress & Klinklang would grant a combined +140% (x2.4) rewards.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00pm (PDT).
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
  • Leftover Event Voucher W items will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes

The Researcher and Seeker event includes a log-in bonus over 14 days. Players can receive these bonuses up until April 14th, at 10:59pm (PST), so even if you're a couple of days late starting the event you'll still have the chance to receive all of the available gifts.

Volo's 6★ EX outfit
This fair-exclusive Fairy-type Field Sync Pair are being released with an expanded sync grid, the ability to be raised to 6★ EX, and the ability to unlock a Tech EX Role when raised to 6★ EX. Raising the pair to 6★ EX also unlocks a new outfit for Volo that gives him a Dark Blue tabard over White top and pants.

Volo & Togepi's Sinnoh Solidarity Trainer Move applies the Sinnoh Circle (Defensive) Field Effect. This effect features a different balance of bonuses from typical Circle Field Effects to date, powering up the special attack and sync moves of the player's team by 5%, while reducing all attack move and Sync Move damage received by allies (from both physical and special moves) by 10%. These values are boosted when the team includes additional Sync Pairs with the Sinnoh Theme skill, up to a maximum of 20% power-up and 25% damage reduction. In addition, one of their Passive Skills will bost all allies' Sync Moves when any circle effect is in effect in the allied field of play.
