Obscure Pokémon game trivia

In the Generation 1 games, if you defeat your rival in the second (optional) battle against him without having bought any Poké Balls yet, you can return to Pallet Town after the battle and Professor Oak will give you five Poké Balls for free.

Jynx hasn’t been in the anime since AG168 meaning that it’s seemingly banned from the anime as a result of its controversies.

It appeared as an image in the Kyurem movie but that’s the case with every Pokemon at the time outside of Genesect (wasn’t released yet).

Z-Crystals change Arceus's type in the Gen 7 games, but not Silvally's type .

Memory items do not change Arceus's type.

Oh golly I need to find that. Where is it?
It’s baked into the code you’re not meant to use it.
It does something like depending on time of day and weather certain Pokémon cries can be heard in the wild
It was actually inspired to be similar to real life

Adding on to that, there’s a glitch in sv where (I think) the lighting messes up making characters look darker when it’s in daylight, I’ve only seen arven with this glitch unfortunately

Arven's Pokemon can be shiny but only in the Titan Battles. Weird that this happens despite Scarlet and Violet being the generation where almost every static encounter is completely shiny locked. This is also the first time since X/Y where a new game has a NPC Trainer has Pokemon that has odds of being shiny rather then being on purpose.

  • Despite being a Mythical Pokémon, Arceus has been sometimes treated as a Legendary Pokémon.
  • Arceus is called a Legendary Pokémon by Norman in the "Challenge the Normal Types" Daily Type Rotation event of Pokémon Masters EX.
  • The official English website of Pokémon Legends: Arceus used to refer to Arceus as a Legendary Pokémon, which was later corrected to Mythical Pokémon as of September 28, 2021.[2]
  • In the Japanese website, it has been referred to as a Mythical Pokémon from the beginning.[3]

In Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire, you can visit the Lilycove City Musuem and find a portrait of Arceus in the back. When the portrait is clicked on, it'll reveal Arceus being described as a Legendary Pokémon.

You can also find this same portrait in RSE, but instead of Arceus being on it, it's an unidentifiable creature.
