I'm making a pokemon game using pokemon essential and want to animate my trainers using EBDX, I want the game to look like gen 5 and that includes the animated trainers, I tried downloading the animated png's that bulbapedia shows on its site but I can only get the still png's

If the file is only showing a still image, it's probably because of the software that's trying to display it. If the image worked in your browser, try opening your downloaded file in the browser. Animations for png files just don't have super wide support. I have no idea what EBDX supports (I tried opening a few sites but they all reported errors), but you may want to throw the downloaded file at it anyway and see what it does. If it doesn't work, you'll just need to figure out how to convert between different formats until you get to something your program can use.
