Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade - Set Logo
The next Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Scarlet & Violet Series, Twilight Masquerade, has finally been officially announced by The Pokémon Company International. This expansion, which launches internationally on May 24th, is expected to contain cards from the Japanese Crimson Haze expansion, and the newly announced Transformation Mask expansion, which launches in Japan on April 26th. It's not yet known if all of the cards from those sets will make it over to Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade internationally, or if some will only see release in later sets.

This expansion features the Pokémon TCG debuts of Pokémon and characters originally introduced in The Teal Mask expansion for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Players can expect the set to include the following:
  • Over 160 total cards, including more than 30 Trainer cards
  • 6 ACE SPEC cards, split between an unspecified number of Trainer cards and Special Energy cards
  • 7 Pokémon ex and 7 Tera Pokémon ex
  • 21 illustration rare Pokémon cards
  • 11 special illustration rare cards featuring rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
  • 6 hyper rare Pokémon ex, with a new and unique raised foil effect
While a full set list will not be available for at least another couple of weeks, after the release of the equivalent Japanese sets, the press release and official set description on Pokemon.com explicitly confirms cards for:
  • The "loyal three" of Okidogi, Munkidori, Fezandipiti
  • Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex
  • Sinistcha ex
  • Multiple cards for Ogerpon, each of which comes with its own types, attacks, and abilities, including:
    • Teal Mask Ogerpon
    • Teal Mask Ogerpon ex
    • Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex
    • Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex
    • Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex
  • The Ogre's Mask item card, to assist in bringing the various Ogerpon ex cards into play
These cards for Ogerpon and the Ogre's Mask can all be viewed below in the product gallery.

Physical pre-release tournaments for this set will begin from May 11th at participating locations worldwide. As usual, Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade will also be available for players of the Pokémon TCG Live app one day ahead of the physical release, on May 23rd. Players should expect this new set to receive a Battle Pass of its own, though the contents of this are of course yet to be announced.

Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade will be available across the typical variety of formats. This set's Elite Trainer Box features Ogerpon, as one might expect with all the newly announced cards based on this Pokémon. As usual, these Elite Trainer Boxes will include nine boosters together with the usual assortment of energy cards, card sleeves, and other gameplay accessories, as well as full-art foil promo featuring Teal Mask Ogerpon. Special versions of these Elite Trainer Boxes will also be available through Pokémon Center in the US, Canada, and the UK. These special versions contain two additional booster packs, and as well as an additional copy of the included full-art foil promo card featuring the Pokémon Center logo.
