Get up to date on everything happening with the GO Battle League: Hidden Gems, beginning in-game in Pokémon GO from June 1st
The following will occur at the beginning of the season:
- End-of-season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
- GO Battle League ranks will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as in the previous season

Element Cup: Little Edition | All Fire-, Water-, and Grass-type Pokémon are eligible to enter. Pokémon must be at or below 500 CP to enter, must be are able to evolve, and have not evolved even once to enter the Little Edition. |
Single-type Cup: Great League Edition | All single-typed Pokémon, with the exception of Cresselia and Defense Forme Deoxys, are eligible enter (i.e. Bulbasaur, which is both Grass-type and Poison-type, would not be eligible). Pokémon must be at or below 1,500 CP to enter the Great League Edition. |
Retro Cup: Great League Edition | Only Pokémon who do not possess a type introduced after the 1st Generation Pokémon Main series games (i.e. who are not Dark-, Steel- or Fairy-type) are eligible to enter. Pokémon must be at or below 1,500 CP to enter the Great League Edition. |

Fantasy Cup: Ultra League Edition | All Dragon-, Steel-, and Fairy-type Pokémon are eligible to enter, with the exception of Galarian Stunfisk and Cobalion. Pokémon must be at or below 2,500 CP to enter the Ultra League Edition. |
Catch Cup: Hidden Gems Edition | All Pokémon caught during the Hidden Gems season, with the exception of any Mythical Pokémon, and that are at or below 1,500 CP, are eligible to enter |
GO Battle Weekend: Clay
A special GO Battle Weekend will be held from Saturday July 1st at 12:00am local time, through to Sunday July 2nd at 11:59pm local time, coinciding with the Master League Premier and Single-type Cup: Great League Edition. During this weekend, the following bonuses will be active:
- 4× Stardust from win rewards. (This does not include the end-of-set rewards and will not stack with the 3× Stardust bonus from Master League rotation weeks.)
- The maximum number of sets Trainers can play per day will be increased from five to 20—for a total of 100 battles—from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time.
Both free and paid battle-themed Timed Research will be available over this Battle Weekend. All rewards from this Timed Research must be claimed before Sunday, July 2nd, at 11:59pm local time.
Completing the free Timed Research will award Trainers with a Clay-Style Hat, among other rewards. The Paid Timed Research will be available for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency), and will award Stardust on completion. This Timed Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher
Pokémon GO World Championships Event
The Pokémon GO World Championships 2023 will be held during this season in Yokohama, Japan. A special battle-focused event will be held from Friday August 11th to Tuesday August 15th to celebrate this event. This event will coincide with the Great League, Ultra League, and Master League all being available, offering 3x Stardust from win rewards. More details on this World Championships event will be released in the coming months.
Go Battle League Timed Research
A pass to access free battle-themed will available to claim from the in-game shop from the start of the season on June 1st at 1:00pm (PDT), until June 15th at 1:00pm (PDT). This Timed Research will keep track of Trainer's victories throughout the season, with each page requiring 100 wins to complete. Completing a page will award an amount of Stardust, plus other items including an Elite Fast TM at 400 wins, and an Elite Charged TM at 500 wins.

Trainers can encounter the following Pokémon once per season at the designated ranks:

- Rank 6: Skwovet
- Ace Rank (2000): Axew ⁂

Trainers can encounter the following Pokémon in reward encounters throughout the season on completing a set of 5 battles:

- Five-star Raid Boss (The Pokémon currently appearing in five-star raids has a chance of appearing as a reward encounter after Trainers reach rank 20)

At certain ranks, Trainers will also be able to earn avatar items and a pose inspired by the leader of Clay, the Gym Leader of Unova's Driftveil Gym:

- Trainer Battles: 70 power for 45 Energy cost. 30% chance to lower the opposing Pokémon’s Defense by one stage.
- Gyms and Raids: 70 power for 33 Energy cost, a Duration of 3 seconds, and a Damage window of 2.0-2.7 seconds
- Trainer Battles: 6 power with 7 Energy boost, and 2 Turns.
- Gyms and Raids: 9 power with 6 Energy boost, a Duration of 0.97 seconds, and a Damage window of 0.7-0.98 seconds
