Pokémon X ColourPop Cosmetics collab arriving May 9th to include lip products, eyeshadow, and more inspired by Gen I

ColourPop X Pokémon lip balm
ColourPop, the cosmetics brand perhaps most famous for their various collaborations with beloved IPs like the Twilight movies and Sailor Moon, has announced their latest makeup collection inspired by Pokémon. The collection is currently not revealed in its entirety, but ColourPop has teased several lip glosses, blushes and a large eyeshadow palette featuring Pokémon-themed shades and packaging. The collection will be available via ColourPop’s website, shipping worldwide, beginning May 9th at 10 AM PDT, and at Ulta Beauty stores beginning May 12th.

Based on what has been revealed so far, the collection is themed after Generation I Pokémon and the early Pokémon anime and movies. The collab will feature three PH shade-changing lip balms in shades Thunderbolt, Transform, and Sing (inspired by Pikachu, Ditto, and Jigglypuff, respectively) plus a lip mask that comes in a Poké Ball container. Three cream blushes in shades Electro Ball, Metronome, and Hypnosis (with Pikachu, Clefable, and Gengar) and a set of three lip glosses with colors inspired by Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon will also be included. The biggest piece revealed is the 24-shade eyeshadow palette, which includes shades named after the colorful towns in Kanto and some named for jokes from the early animated series, like shades Drying Pan and Jelly Donut. The bright red shade, I Choose You!, is stamped with a Poké Ball design.

Prices for pieces in this collab have not yet been announced, but they are likely to be similar to ColourPop’s previous collabs; the 24-shade Harry Potter eyeshadow palette retails for $30 USD, while their Beauty and the Beast lip mask retails for $12 USD.
