For me, it’s Deoxys. I love everything related to outer space, so I think it would be super interesting to know where Deoxys comes from (planet, if any) and what is the virus that helped create them when they were exposed to a laser beam. The laser beam makes me think that perhaps some sort of machinery was involved and that means that some aliens or humans must’ve have provoked it.

Lugia if its strictly the mainline games. It's a consequence of being added later to Gen 2 and the mascots not being as important until Gen 3. Lugia doesn't have a connection to the Birds in the mainline games outside of BDSP requiring them to catch Lugia in Ramanas Park.

Genesect being more important would be cool. Maybe it could be used by the next version of Team Plasma when Unova gets revisited again.

Since Zeraora is a Gen 7 Pokémon I would want to see its connections with Ultra Space and Z-Power. Not related to Z-A Mega Evolution though, as this is a revisit on the Gen 7 topic.

Maybe a Zeraora overwhelmed with Z-Power and causing problems in Alola?

Meloetta is a big one for me.

Southern Kalos is also there given what happened in XY (Maybe a remake will address that)

Lastly would be... astrology/nomy in the Pokemon world. What would the night sky look like to people that never saw animals as we see them in real life. I also think it can carry an aesthetic theme for an entire region by itself but that is a separate matter.

all them dumbass mythicals with no lore who existed only to sell tickets to movies. please. give them cohesion. i wanna like zeraora so bad but even the movie it was selling tickets for was really one-note about it.

but also more meloetta lore please, i love my doofy little cryptid.

  • Galarian Legendary Birds: Where do they come from? How did they gain that powers? Are they convergent species?
  • Volcanion: Where does it live? Why is it a mythical?
  • Chingling & Chimecho: A Youtuber noted that no Pokedex entries state their origins or whether they are objects that came alive, that made them so much mysterious to me.
  • Paradox Beasts & Musketeers: Paradox are already on thin waters, so them dumping six more that resembled legendaries was just...uhhh.
  • Regieleki & Regidrago: I don't think it was ever stated anywhere why were they discovered late and why they aren't mentioned in Sinnoh mythos.
  • Stakataka & Blacephalon: My boys were robbed of their ultra worlds!

Orre. I know the series has long since moved on from it, but what I wouldn't give for an Orre anime or manga or just something to flesh out my favourite region. I think an anime following Wes or Michael would be so fun to watch :)

All the legendaries/mythicals that have little to no lore, Cresselia, Volcanion etc

How an average person who doesn't get a starter from a professor becomes a trainer (if we are talking game canon). Or in the case of anime canon, do people travel to visit the professor or do they travel around to give out starters?

How are Gym Leaders selected? What decides which towns get a gym, and can it change?

huge same on this. i would adore more orre lore even though i know it won't happen :sadsola: personally i think a blend of the original design philosophy of orre sprinkled in with more pokemon-y stuff (since colosseum wasn't made by people who knew much about pokemon...) would be really cool to see in an official context

anyhow i'm a big sinnoh lore head and i've always wondered what the story of the original sinnoh games would look like re-written in the newer writing style that has more characterization and linear storytelling. a lot of people want to know more about the legendaries of the region but i actually think that much of sinnoh's mythos being so vague lends itself well to the vagueness that comes inherent with many real life religions, and also lends itself to really interesting fan creations that could not possibly be canon because pokemon doesn't want to go too spiritual or too dark (and the most interesting mythos tends to be very spiritual or very dark or both)
no, what i'm actually wondering about is team galactic's structure, more about cyrus, etc. if you actually go out of your way to read all the flavor text and optional NPC dialogue in sinnoh it's pretty clear that team galactic is supposed to be a cult... not in the figurative sense when people call any ""weird"" religious/spiritual group a cult, but like, a genuine cult with the recruiting practices and social structures of an actual cult. plus there is that bit of dialogue about cyrus being a preciously intelligent person in his youth. and i do feel like there's a hypothetical universe where they'd be willing to discuss that more literally or in more depth than they actually do in DPPT, considering human characters doing things just as dark/corrupt if not worse elsewhere in the series, such as lusamine from the original sun/moon. but since BDSP is what it is i know that's not going to happen and that i will just have to speculate in my mind for the rest of time... maybe it's for the best like the sinnoh mythos. but man i would love to see the life of the average team galactic grunt before and after joining the organization. i would just love to see cyrus' childhood and how he brought team galactic to the omnipresence it ended up being until its downfall. i would love to see how his corrupt ideas developed over time!! Rahhhh i'll stop here because i could ramble about sinnoh forever but man
