Hi! Hello!

I keep being inactive here for ages. But since I do like talking about Pokémon, but also sometimes want to talk about random things (or just don't know what to add to existing conversations on here), maybe having a blog will help me engage here more often! Especially since I really do want to share my thoughts and talk to people, but tend to be too nervous to do much other than lurk.

So yeah, here's a little space for me to talk about random things every so often. Games I'm playing, collections I'm building, non-personal life stuff - if I can't find an existing, active thread I want to post them in, they'll go here. And feel free to reply if you want!

I already have a couple of things that are coming to mind, so here we go...

Mentioning collections in my intro post reminded me that while I was clearning my room recently (I'm working towards replacing some of my ancient furniture), I found a fraction of my very first one: My Little Ponies! I mostly got the G3 ones, since they were the ones that were releasing at the time - but I did get my hands on a couple of G2 ones as well. Every time I was about to play with them, I would line them all up in the order I got them in, and go through each of them by name, before playing with them "normally".

I still remember the first pony, which started it all: Sunny Daze. I do still have her somewhere, although like a lot of the others I've found, she does have tangled hair, and some pen and paint marks on her. ^^;

As for things I like to collect nowadays... I have a couple of binders of Animal Crossing amiibo cards I collected over the past decade, but they seem to be more or less out of print for now (and I don't trust listings on most websites other than Nintendo's, thanks to how many fake cards are being sold now). I considered switching to Pokémon cards, but uh... the accessibility for that right now is a bit... yeah. :sadsola: So currently, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to switch to as a serious, long-tem collecting hobby.

I do like gathering merch of some of my favourite characters (particularly because I got into ita bags a while ago - I like getting badges, charms and the like to eventually display in them). So maybe I could expand further on one of those? It's just a matter of deciding which one, since I have a few characters that I really love. I'll have to have a think about it!

My copy of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream arrived, and I'm really enjoying it so far! I've already added some Pokémon characters (both canon and OCs), and it's been neat to play around with them and make them hang out with each other.
A couple of my OCs realised that they're siblings after deciding to move in together - I'd had them on my island since the demo, and the Miis don't know about their "real-life" counterparts' relationships to each other at first, so I was wondering how they were going to figure it out!
I also already have a basic idea of how I'm going to decorate my island, so I'm definitely going to be having some fun with that later :slowpoke:

I went on holiday to Northern Ireland recently! It was fun, and it helped me to relax a bit, after having struggled a lot with my mental health recently.

One of the things I did during my trip was go to some shops in Belfast, including Forbidden Planet and Miniso. Evidently, blind boxes are trendy at the moment, because I'm not exaggerating when I say there were so, SO many of them in those shops. Forbidden Planet especially had entire shelves full of different ones, opposite the anime figures. The idea of them doesn't appeal to me all that much, but I ended up getting a few Sanrio ones, just to give it a go.

The figures I got from them were cute, but the quality was... not the best? The larger ones especially both have some minor, but noticable flaws with the painting, as well as things like My Melody having a small crack in her ear, and Kuromi having some scratched plastic on her cheek. I don't want to whine too much, but I'll say that I think the keychain I bought, which wasn't in a blind box, was the highest-quality Sanrio merch I bought that day.

I can't see myself paying the amount I did for something like these again, unless I can actually see the state of them first. But at least they still look nice in my room, even though they do contrast a bit with the statue of a dragon sat on a big skull behind them! :slowpoke:

Last night I dug out my Hatsune Miku plushie I've had since I was ~13, since I've been really getting back into Vocaloid recently. I noticed a few details about it that seemed odd to me (the main one being that the strap thing on her skirt was on the wrong side - don't know how I missed that for all these years), so I did a bit of research... and discovered that it was a bootleg this whole time.

How could a cute plush Miku holding a little leek betray me like this??? :cry:
