There is just one other Poké Lid currently installed in Ishikawa Prefecture, and these new six are the first to be installed in its northern Noto Peninsula. In the absence of a prefectural Ambassador Pokémon, which would usually act as a mascot, the six new lids feature a variety of Pokémon at scenic places and tourist destinations. For example, the lid to be installed in Suzu City features Luvdisc and Sylveon at the iconic Mitsukejima Island, and Anamizu Town’s new lid will feature Snorlax, Plusle, and Minun at Noto Sakura Station, which is surrounded by cherry blossom trees.
On January 1st, 2024, Noto Peninsula was ravaged by an earthquake occuring of the northern coast, severely damaging many of the municipalities installing these new Poké Lids. These six lids, unlike most other Poké Lids, are specifically part of the Pokémon with YOU campaign, which began as a disaster relief program for children following the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, and has since expanded into other philanthropic efforts in Japan. Pokémon with YOU and the cities receiving these Poké Lids are planning charitable initiatives which will be implemented sometime after the lids are installed. When the new lids are installed, there will be seven in Ishikawa Prefecture and over 450 throughout Japan.
