Runs of three Pokémon games to feature in European Speedrunner Assembly Summer 2026, raising money for the Make a Wish Foundation

The summer 2026 edition of European Speedrunner Assembly will be streaming live from August 1st to August 8th. It will be taking place live out of the Quality Hotel View in Malmö Sweden. Runs of Pokémon White 2, Pokémon Platinum, and Pokémon Sapphire will be taking place across the course of the marathon. White 2 and Sapphire can be watched on stream one, while Platinum will be shown on stream two.

The European Speedrunner Assembly is a series of speedrunning marathons, with runners attempting to complete a game or accomplish a specific goal as fast as possible. It started in 2012 as a meetup inspired by Games Done Quick, before becoming a marathon in its own right the year after. The event was run semiannually starting in 2018, but skipped Winter 2025 to reorganize and figure out ways to improve the event in wake of safety concerns and other controversies. Over the course of its history, it has raised around $1,000,000 for various charities. In addition to its semiannual flagship marathons, their Twitch channel plays host to many smaller marathons, including Break the Record: Live.
