In celebration of the recent release of Pokémon Pokopia, several cities in Europe are seeing urban spaces transformed into Pokopia gardens, complete with Pokémon and other elements from the game among the plants. Pokopia gardens in London, Berlin, and Paris are all free and open to the public today, and will each stay open for several months.

These gardens are designed as public spaces, to encourage local communities to gather and enjoy the outdoors. They’re inspired by the gameplay in Pokopia, where players design spaces for Pokémon to enjoy. Each space is a collaboration between The Pokémon Company International and local businesses and organizations, and visitors are invited to explore the gardens thoroughly to find hidden Pokémon details throughout the plantlife.

Peter Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing at The Pokémon Company International, said:
In Pokémon Pokopia, players create a Pokémon paradise which everyone can live in. We wanted to bring some of that same feeling of growth and brightness to real world communities, creating a space that is full of Pokémon Pokopia’s magic and open to all.

Each of the three gardens features photo ops where visitors can pose with characters from Pokopia, like Professor Tangrowth and Smearguru. The centerpieces for the gardens are a Peakychu terrarium shaped like a Poké Ball, and the “living walls,” which feature plants sprawling amongst the signs and standees. Opening ceremonies across the three locations featured appearances from Pikachu, flower planting in the raised garden beds, crafts, and goodies for visitors like gardening aprons. Each location also features special Poké Stops and Gyms for Pokémon GO players, which will be available for the duration of the gardens.

All three Pokopia gardens are open now with no reservation necessary. See below for locations and closing dates.
