The next Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Scarlet & Violet Series, Prismatic Evolutions, has been officially announced in a press release by The Pokémon Company International. This expansion, which launches internationally on January 17th, 2025, is expected to primarily contain cards from the Japanese Terastal Fest ex subset, which launches there on December 6th, along with an assortment of Japanese promotional cards that have yet to have international release.

As with recent Main Series Expansions, this set will focus on Tera Pokémon. This time, the general theme of this set is Eevee and its eight Evolutions.

Players and collectors can expect this set to include the following:
  • 6 ACE SPEC cards
  • 10 regular Pokémon ex, plus 15 Tera Pokémon ex
  • 12 Ultra Rare Supporter cards
  • 32 special illustration rare Pokémon ex and Supporter cards
  • 5 Hyper Rare gold etched cards
As usual, Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions will be available for players of the Pokémon TCG Live app one day ahead of the physical release, on January 16th. Players should expect this new set to receive a Battle Pass of its own, though the contents of this are of course yet to be announced.

Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions will be available across the typical variety of formats for Special Expansions. This box for this set's Elite Trainer Box features Eevee Terastallized into the Stellar type. As usual, these Elite Trainer Boxes will include nine boosters together with the usual assortment of energy cards, card sleeves, and other gameplay accessories, as well as an illustration-rare style promo featuring Eevee. A special version of the Elite Trainer Box will also be available through Pokémon Center online stores in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. only, however it seems fans in Australia and New Zealand will have to make do with the standard version for this set. The special version of the Elite Trainer Box contains two additional booster packs, as well as an additional copy of the included illustration-rare style promo card featuring the Pokémon Center logo.
