Encounter special Pokémon in Pokémon GO at the new PokéPark KANTO in Japan from this Thursday

PokéPark KANTO officially opens at the Yomiuriland theme park located in Inagi, Tokyo this week on Thursday February 5th. Fans physically attending PokéPark KANTO will be able to access exclusive content in Pokémon GO during park hours from 10:00am to 6:00pm (JST) daily.

First announced on December 12, 2023, PokéPark KANTO is a upcoming permanent outdoor attraction that is a joint venture between The Pokémon Company and Yomiuri Land Co., Ltd. who previously collaborated together to produce the temporary Pokémon Wonder attraction in Yomiuriland.

Exclusive Activities
Special Field Research Task Encounter
Trainers will receive special Field Research tasks by spinning PokéStops located throughout PokéPark KANTO. Completing these Field Research tasks will allow Trainers to encounter Pokémon that also live in PokéPark KANTO.

Please note that while Field Research tasks can only be obtained within PokéPark KANTO, they can be completed outside of the park.

Pokémon Encounters
All Pokémon listed below with a ⁂ next to their name can also be encountered in their Shiny variants.

Wild Encounters
Pokémon that live throughout PokéPark KANTO will appear in the wild in Pokémon GO:
  • Bulbasaur ⁂
  • Charmander ⁂
  • Squirtle ⁂
  • Rattata ⁂
  • Pidgey ⁂
  • Pikachu ⁂
  • Eevee ⁂
  • Unown (P) ⁂
  • Unown (K) ⁂
In addition to these Pokémon, Trainers will be able to encounter a variety of Pokémon throughout different areas of PokéPark KANTO, including Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town.

Raids
The following Pokémon will appear in raids at PokéPark KANTO:
  • February, March, April, and May: Zapdos ⁂
  • June, July, August, and September: Moltres ⁂
  • October, November, December, and January: Articuno ⁂
In these raids, these Pokémon will appear with a special PokéPark KANTO Kanto–themed Location Background. Trainers will be able to participate in these Raid Battles once per day.
