Four Mega Evolution Unite Licenses are now available in Pokémon UNITE: Mega Lucario, Mega Charizard X, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Charizard Y. These are separate licenses from their base form UNITE licenses, allowing both forms to be used on one team. The Pokémon have a fixed move set and can Mega Evolve for a short while after using their Unite Moves.
To celebrate the introduction of Mega Evolution licenses, a special event in-game event will be held till January 11th, where players can complete missions to earn the Unite license for Mega Charizard Y. Additionally, players can use the giftcode
The Major December update brings the biggest change: the discontinuation of Aeos Coins and the introduction of License Journeys—a new way to obtain Unite Licenses. Multiple times per License Journey, players will choose a Unite license they wish to obtain. Then, they can play the game to accumulate license points toward unlocking that Unite license.

Battle Pass Season 37
A new Battle Pass for Season 37 is now available to buy in Pokémon UNITE. This Battle Pass runs from Friday, December 26th, 2025, through to Thursday, January 29th, 2026, and features "Pokébuki Style: Suicune".
