Story Event: Sea's Legend and Raging Souls
It wouldn't be a Summer event without a trip to the beach! This event, which will run through to July 21st, at 10:59pm (PDT), sees Akari having a fateful encounter with an injured Manaphy on the beach following a nasty storm, and Arezu dealing with an unruly Basculegion that needs some anger management help.
This event follows the simplified format for Story Events, where players will collect Event Points as they complete battles, earning rewards based on the total amount of event points acquired instead of trading for specific desired rewards. Event rewards include 5★ Scout Tickets, Skill Items, a Support Move Candy Coin, a 5★ Power-Up, and Event Medals. Other rewards able to be obtained include Special Skill Feathers 131 and 132, Custom Sync Orbs for Akari (Summer 2026) & Manaphy and Arezu (Summer 2026) & Basculegion, and Lucky Cookies for Akari (Summer 2026) & Manaphy, Arezu (Summer 2026) & Basculegion, and Marlon & Carracosta. Trainers who accumulate 15,000 Event Points in this event will also receive a Seasonal Exclusive Gtd. Ticket, which can be used in the Seasonal Exclusive Guaranteed Ticket Scout (see below).
As usual for events of this type, players will receive bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:
- Akari (Summer 2026) & Manaphy: +60% (×1.6) bonus rewards
- Arezu (Summer 2026) & Basculegion: +60% (×1.6) bonus rewards from July 2nd, at 10:59pm (PDT)

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
- The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00pm (PDT).
- To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
- All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
- All Event Points collected during this event will be automatically deleted once the event is over.
Until July 21st, at 10:59pm (PDT), limited-time summer festival themed locations will be available during interactions at the Trainer Lodge, along with a Limited-Time Expedition Area.
Players will also be able to form a Special Team in this Expedition Area that can receive substantial amounts of Expedition Awards. Adding certain Sync Pairs to this Special Team will grant special bonuses to Discovery Level in addition to the normal change based on Expedition Skill. Drop-In Events will not appear for Special Teams on Expeditions. Once the limited-time expedition area disappears, Special Teams will be automatically disbanded, with any unclaimed items able to be received by going to the expedition screen.

Akari Seasonal Scouts
Akari (Summer 2026) & Manaphy are making their debut in a set of Seasonal Scouts alongside the launch of the Sea's Legend and Raging Souls Story Event. The Akari Seasonal Scout and Akari Seasonal Tiered Scout will run through to July 21st, at 10:59pm (PDT). The associated Akari Seasonal Featured Ticket Scout, and Akari Seasonal Guaranteed Ticket Scout meanwhile will run through to July 28th, at 10:59pm (PDT).
Akari (Summer 2026) & Manaphy are a Water-type Support Role Sync Pair with a Sprint EX Role. When raised to 6★ EX, Akari's outfit adopts the same lighter palette as Manaphy, with different shades of light blue over a yellow dress.
This sync pair is designed to support teams which rely on rainy weather for their attacks and combos, with three separate Passive Skills which interact with this weather effect. One Passive Skill makes the weather rainy and restores Akari (Summer 2026) & Manaphy's HP by approximately 30% whenever anyone on their team uses a Sync Move; another Passive Skill extends the duration of rainy weather when the weather turns rainy with Akari (Summer 2026) & Manaphy on the field; and the final Passive Skill increases the Physical Moves ↑ Next and Special Moves ↑ Next effects of all allied sync pairs by one rank when the weather is made rainy. In the unlikely event that the rain ever runs out, they can also make the weather rainy again with their About their Beautifully Flowing! Trainer Move, which also reduces the Sync Move countdown by two, and raises the criticial-hit rate of all allies by three stat ranks. More details about the sync pair can be found on Bulbapedia.
The Akari Seasonal Scout gives players bonus presents for the first three times players perform a Sync Pair Scout ×11, awarding Support Move Candy Coins each time. The Scout also includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for ×100 paid gems. As the name suggests, these daily discounts can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout.
In addition to the regular Seasonal Scout, players can also take advantage of an Akari Seasonal Tiered Scout. This scouts has ten tiers, each of which is a Sync Pair Scout ×11. Players are able to scout once on each tier by using Paid Gems, with the amount of gems increasing with each tier.
