It has been confirmed that Pokémon HOME will be undergoing maintenance on 2 April 2026 with a planned runtime from 00:00–12:00 UTC. The update to version 4.0.0 will allow users to trade between Pokémon HOME and Pokémon Legends Z-A for the first time.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A version 2.0.1 is now available to download for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. This update allows Trainers to purchase multiple berries at once and increases the maximum amount of Mega Shards that a Trainer can have to 9,999. It also fixes several minor bugs to enhance the gameplay experience. This update is required to access Internet features.

Mega Sceptile, Mega Swampert, and Mega Blaziken make their debut in Pokémon Legends Z-A; claim their Mega Stones as rewards for climbing the ranks in the Z-A Battle Club! To join the action, press the X Button while in-game, select Link Play, and then Ranked Battles. Sceptile's, Swampert's, and Blaziken's Mega Stones will be given as rewards throughout Ranked Battles Seasons 5, 6, and 7, respectively.

Ahead of the release of Wave 2 Story Content for Pokémon Legends: Z-A's Mega Dimension DLC next Wednesday December 10th, Mega Lucario Z was officially revealed in a new trailer released on The Official Pokémon YouTube channel. Also announced was the introduction of Mewtwo and its Mega Evolutions to the game in a new Side Mission which players can acquire through Mystery Gift.

Pokémon Legends Z-A Ranked Season 3 is confirmed to run from 27 November at 06:00 UTC to 18 December 2025 at 01:59 UTC, and will reward players with the Chesnaughtite at Rank S. To join the action, press the X Button while in-game, select Link Play, and then Ranked Battles.

We're only about 3 weeks out from the release of the Wave 2 Story Content for the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but it seems like there's at least a few more surprises left in store for players, with today's surprise reveal of Mega Zeraora in a new trailer released on The Official Pokémon YouTube channel.

The Legendary Pokémon Xerneas is now legal to use in Season 2 of Pokémon Legends Z-A's Ranked Battles, and in a similar fashion to its performance in the Video Game Championships (VGC) from 2016 to 2019, it's swiftly dominating its competition. In an unofficial 32-player tournament run by content creator and VGC player Phillip Wingett (also known as THATSAplusONE), Xerneas appeared on four teams in the Top 8, including the winning team.

Pokémon have released a new trailer for Pokémon Legends Z-A's upcoming DLC—Mega Dimension—and it reveals a ton of new information. Mega Dimension is currently scheduled to release on Wednesday 10 December 2025.

In the latest trailer for Pokémon Legends Z-A's Mega Dimension DLC, two brand-new Mega Evolutions were revealed: Mega Baxcalibur and Mega Chimecho.

Following the release of the latest Mega Dimension trailer, a new Side Mission has been revealed for Pokémon Legends Z-A, "Shine Bright like a Gemstone", which introduces both Diancie and its Mega Stone, the Diancite, to the game.

The Brazilian speedrunning community will be coming together for Brazilians Against Time (BRAT) 2025 between October 15th and October 19th. The event will be raising money for Doctors Without Borders. In what may well be a first and last time the author of these articles will get to report on this, a Pokémon game will feature as part of the speedrunning event on the day of its release. Just a block of a casual playthrough, mind you - they're unlikely to finish and there's no indication this is going to be a speedy casual playthrough. The South Korean girl group Hearts2Hearts (하츠투하츠) has collaborated with Pokémon Legends: Z-A to release the music video for their song ‘Pretty Please’ as a pre-release single from their upcoming album ‘Focus’.

In addition to the announcement of the new Pokémon spin-off title, the September 12th Nintendo Direct has also unveiled additional Mega Evolutions for Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja that will be available in Pokémon Legends: Z-A this October. A further two Mega Evolutions, Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, will make their debut in the newly announced Mega Dimension paid DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Sadly, the trailer was marred by the inclusion of slanderous claims that the outpouring of love for Malamar over the past week was due to the Pokémon's hypnotic capabilities, rather than the true heartfelt feelings of Pokémon fans the world over.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is only a month and a half away at time of writing - and at two years and 11 months, the time gap between it and Scarlet and Violet is the longest ever between releases of main series Pokémon games. Unsurprisingly, anticipation for the second game in the Legends sub-series is at fever pitch, and when we saw that two separate demos were available for play at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, we just had to get our greasy paws on them!
