Pokémon GO's new Along the Routes event will begin tomorrow, December 5th, at 10:00am, running through to December 8th at 8:00pm local time. This event will introduce the travelling Pokémon researcher Mateo, who provides the Gift Exchange service for players exploring Routes, as well as feature the debut of Shiny Hisuian Sneasel.

A huge helping of Alola region content is coming to Pokémon Masters EX this week, with re-runs of the 2023 edition of the Top Speed Time Trial Event, and the Investigate the Foundation Villain Event, both of which originally ran alongside the debut of the Alola Chapter of the Villain Arc earlier this year. A trio of fair-exclusive Sygna Suit sync pairs featured in the Alola Chapter will also be making their return in a special Triple Feature Poké Fair Scout, while the Alola Challenge is starting this week in the Champion Stadium. Also starting today is a new Special Battle Event, featuring the recently released Neo Champion Nate.

While this week's episode of Pokémon Horizons was primarily buildup to the reveal of the fourth of the Six Hero Pokémon, I did like the mystery building up around the Lapras. A cargo ship thought it was helping them escape a fog, when it reality, Lapras was looting their food. Lapras's Pokédex entries going back to the first generation have mentioned how they are gentle and kind-hearted Pokémon, so that means it should be a good Pokémon, right?

Pokémon UNITE have released information on their event schedule for this year's holiday period, with the Snowball Battle in Shiver City and other holiday activities set to make their return starting December 7th, alongside the debut of Meowscarada and its Phantom Thief Style Holowear. Metagross has also had its release date confirmed, with the Pokémon set to make its way to Aeos Island on December 26th. Additionally, a new Producer Message has been posted on the official Pokémon Community forums, announcing new balancing changes for Ranked Matches are taking place, along with new Held Items & Battle Items.

Pokémon Café ReMix is gearing up for the holiday season, with a variety of new and returning Pokémon available for players to recruit to their café staff. The new Scream Tail's Lucky Spin event lets players try their luck to recruit Scream Tail and, if they're lucky enough, recruit Shiny Jigglypuff! Meanwhile in Pelipper Deliveries, Absol gets new five-star outfit as celebration for the game's 2nd anniversary, and Hisuian Form Zorua in its Holiday outfit makes a return. Litwick also returns in a new Pass from the in-game store, while Litten is is the chosen Pokémon for December's monthly Goals.

Project VOLTAGE, the special art and music collaboration project between Pokémon and the popular Volcaloid character Hatsune Miku, has resumed music updates today with the release of the fifth of 18 music videos, with 戦闘！初音ミク / Battle! (Hatsune Miku) from Vocaloid producer cosMo＠暴走P.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Ranked Battles Regulation Set F will come into force with the start of the next Season on January 4th, 2024, running through to April 30th, 2024 at 11:59pm (UTC). This new regulation set is expected to expand the list of allowable Pokémon to include those found in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, which releases worldwide later this month on December 14th.

As previewed in Pokémon Masters EX's recent developer letter, new content is being added today to the Main Story's Mysterious Stones Chapter. The latest Monthly Poké Fair Scout is also dropping in game today, once again featuring Marnie & Morpeko.

Next week on December 5th, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live will be receiving an update to Version 1.9.2. This update will resolve a small number of issues that had been impacting on several cards, most notably problems in the application of Toedscruel's Slime Mold Colony Ability, and the longstanding bug where Zoroark's Phantom Transformation ability will show the player multiple card selection screens. This update will be preceded by an 8 hour long maintenance window, scheduled to start at 8:00am (PST) / 4:00pm (UTC) on December 5th.

The Really Really Long A Thon (RRLAT) Twitch channel will hosting a nonstop speedrunning marathon throughout December, supporting the Open Medicine Foundation. A run of PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure will be featured during the event, with the run presently scheduled for Wednesday, December 20th. The event can be watched from the marathon's Twitch channel.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Ranked Battles Season 13 has begun, and will run through to January 3rd, at 11:59pm (UTC). This season follows Regulation Set E, which came into force at the beginning of October with the start of Season 11, expanding the list of allowable Pokémon to include those found in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask.

Niantic this week has announced premininary details regarding Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh, which will be running in February 2024. As its name suggests, this event will focus on Pokémon from the Sinnoh region which originally made their debut in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Versions. Shiny variants of Pokémon from Sinnoh, including Stunky, Chingling, Chatot, Carnivine, and Pachirisu, will all also make their Pokémon GO debuts as part of this event.

As previewed in the recent monthly update from the game's developers, Nate (Champion) & Haxorus are making their Pokémon Masters EX debut today in a new Master Fair Scout. Alongside this scout, Nate will be taking center stage in the brand new Neo Champions: A Pure and Touching Heart Story Event launching in-game today. Also launching today is a new Extreme Battle Event, Show Your Hearts As One!, giving players a chance to face off against Champion Iris.

Bingothon will be celebrating 5 years of charity marathons with their Winter 2023 event, which will run from December 1st to December 4th, in support of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. A race of Pokémon Emerald randomizer will feature as part of this event on December 3rd.

In celebration of Pokémon Sleep taking out the Best Game for Good title in the global Google Play Best of 2023 awards, along with the User's Choice and Cute & Casual Category titles in the Japanese Google Play Best of 2023 awards, a special gift is now being distributed in-game to all players.

Niantic has released details for Pokémon GO's December Community Day event for 2023, which will run across December 16th and 17th. Pokémon that were featured in Community Day and Community Day Classic events in 2022 and 2023 will return in this month's Community Day event, with Pokémon previously featured during 2023 appearing more frequently in the wild and in Timed Research, while Pokémon featured throughout 2022 will hatch from Eggs, and appear in Raids and Timed Research.

Finally bringing an end to fan speculation about when the series will receive a wider global release, The Pokémon Company International have announced that Pokémon Horizons: The Series will make its debut in the United States on February 23rd, 2024, a few days ahead of Pokémon Day, exclusively on Netflix.

The team at Fast Paced Events will be hosting a charity marathon from December 1st to December 3rd, raising money for Take This, a mental health advocacy organization with a focus on the game industry and community. A randomizer for Pokémon Crystal will feature on the opening day of the event, which will be streamed live on their Twitch channel.

Niantic has announced the schedule and details for the upcoming Timeless Travels season for the GO Battle League in Pokémon GO. The season will start on December 1st, at 1:00pm (PST).

Niantic has revealed that the Formidable Pokémon, Hisuian Samurott,, will make its Pokémon GO debut as part of a Hisuian Samurott Raid Day event this Sunday, December 3rd, running from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. Hisuian Samurott's Shiny variant will also be making its debut.
