Submission Process
Submissions for the craft section are less structured than for some of the other sections of Pokémon Creations, since submissions will vary depending on the type of crafts submitted.
If you are submitting crafts for which no section exists, we will review it with careful consideration and, if accepted, create a new section for the type of craft. Otherwise, crafts will be added to the appropriate sections.
General guidelines for the Crafts Fair include:
- All crafts must be related to Pokémon in some manner, whether the canon material or the fan material found here on Pokémon Creations.
- No excessive or distasteful mature content is permitted. Mature content includes but is not limited to nudity, sexual situations, violence, gore, and foul or offensive language. If used tastefully and in moderation, mature content will be accepted, but will be labeled so young or sensitive viewers are aware of the content.
- All crafts must show some creativity and effort. For example, no, taking a picture of a pinecone does not count as making a Pineco craft. (Glue some eyes on it at least, and maybe we'll consider it.)
- All of the crafts must be your own work. Collaborations must have consent of all artists involved. We have a no-tolerance art theft policy. If we discover you are claiming someone else's work as your own, we will not host the stolen crafts nor any other work you have submitted to us, crafts or otherwise. Past submissions will be removed. We will display a public list of all art thieves we have encountered.
Several of the above areas could be considered a matter of opinion, and if you feel we have unfairly rejected your crafts, please feel free to debate it with us. However, please understand that in the end the decision is ours, not yours. If we do not accept your work, we will still gladly put a link in your profile to any places where you may have a collection of your crafts regardless of the content.
When submitting crafts, please include the following things in an e-mail:
- Your name (online penname preferred)
- The type of craft
- Character or characters the craft is of
- A picture of the craft
- If you have them and would like to share, patterns or instructions for making the craft
- Comments you would like to have accompanying the craft
Address the e-mail as "Craft Submission" and send it to pokemoncreations@gmail.com. It will be read and responded to as promptly as possible, which may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on how busy the maintainers are. If accepted, it will be put in the Crafts Fair as quickly as possible. If rejected, we will be certain to tell you on what specific grounds it was rejected.
Thank you! We can't wait to see your Pokémon crafts!
