Bulbagarden seeks to involve the community wherever possible.

Bulbagarden has proven itself to be innovative in its approaches to nearly everything — from incorporating a wiki to being part of a network of news sites. This is a site where you aren't just a fan — you're a member. This is a community. This is where you can contribute on your own time, as much or as little as you want. The original Pokémon community

The Bulbagarden Forums are the pinnacle of a refined community experience. Forums exist on a wide swath of subjects, ranging from simple miscellaneous discussion to in-depth talk of Pokémon anime, shipping, and the games themselves. There's also discussion on Japanese culture, comic books, and a wide variety of other interesting topics; if you have an interest, it’s almost assuredly shared with other members of the Bulbagarden community. The forums boast both new and veteran posters; we're not an insular community. And, of course, registration is free and easy. There's no consequence in taking a look and sticking around for a while — if it's your first visit, drop by the Garden Grotto and say hi. Bulbapedia

A community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia

Bulbapedia is the prime source of Pokémon information for you. Articles range from simple Pokémon information articles to character biographies to information on the data structure and coding in the Pokémon games; whatever type or depth of information you desire, you can find on Bulbapedia.

Furthermore, as it is a wiki, anyone with an account can edit it — if you want to contribute to the community's knowledge, you're more than welcome.

The Bulbagarden Gallery hosts the best work of Bulbagarden's finest artists. Creative minds converge and generate brilliant works that are exhibited to the public; one can browse high-quality images for free. No long lines. Cameras aren't prohibited. No fees. No paintings ever get removed for restoration. It's the perfect place to stop in and appreciate the work of others. And, better yet, it's no trouble to add your name to the list of the fine artists whose work graces the 'walls' of the Gallery.

Not the Bulbagarden Library...this is a place where some of the online community's best writers are enshrined for all to enjoy. There's no wait list, no due dates, and the librarians are actually friendly. It's a peaceful place to stop and read a good story on a rainy day. Bulbagarden Oekaki

Oekaki — once popular only in Japan, now hosted on Bulbagarden! Don't be intimidated by the name, as oekaki is really quite simple, and doesn't require any understanding of foreign language. So what is an oekaki? It's an online drawing board for all your artistic needs. Sort of like a sketchpad, except more powerful and without all the mess of smudged crayons and paint smeared on your face. All you need to have is Java enabled in your browser and the desire to draw. Come in, join your fellow artists and have fun!

Bulbacast

The Pokémon podcast

First released to the public on December 11, 2005, Bulbacast is the Pokémon podcast produced by some of the fandom's finest fanatics. The Bulbacast regulars assemble at 7PM EST/EDT on Saturday evenings to talk about everything a Pokémon fan wants to know about - new episodes, new movies, new games, current issues, new Pokémon, and maybe even which character looks best in a bikini. And, since it's a podcast, you can download it to your iPod using iTunes as well.

On top of that, if you'd rather join in the discussion than just listen, you can! All you need is a microphone, Skype, and show up in the IRC chat, and you too can be a part of the Bulbacast.
